Blur’s Graham Coxon: ”The X Factor’ and ‘The Voice’ are disgraceful’

Blur's Graham Coxon has hit out at TV talent shows such as The X Factor and The Voice by labelling them as "disgraceful". Speaking to the Independent, the guitarist said that he disapproved of the idea that aspiring artists could achieve immediate success in the music industry and claimed that he believed in "doing things right".

Blur frontman Damon Albarn has revealed that he almost recorded an album with David Bowie and The Kinks' mainman Ray Davies. The singer, who is currently preparing for the release of the studio album version of his opera Doctor Dee, revealed that for precisely 24 hours he was set to make a record with the Thin White Duke and The Kinks man.
