With a supporting cast that includes mandolin player Tim O’Brien and fiddler Alison Brown, there’s a strong bluegrass flavour. But it’s Pettis’ songwriting that’s the main attraction. Further evidence that away from the Music Row production line, there are still more great singer-songwriters per bar in Nashville than anywhere else in the world.
