Both favour gentle acoustics from the Nick Drake school and write literate songs which ride youth’s emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes she’s breezy, as on “Do You Or Don’t You”. At other times, as on the delicious “End Of The Day”, she’s more introspective.
All Calm In Dreamland suggests she isn’t yet the finished article. But a place on the shortlist for Radio 2’s young folk performer of the year is indicative of her potential.
