Though perhaps now best known for the Norman Whitfieldproduced “War” (which he later performed with Bruce Springsteen), it’s the four-to-the-floor Starr-man of “S.O.S. [Stop Her On Sight]”, “Agent 00 Soul”, “Headline News” and “25 Miles” that sustains his cult following.
