Beatles actor Victor Spinetti dies aged 82

Victor Spinetti, the comic actor who appeared in three Beatles films, has died aged 82. The Welsh star appeared in a string of acclaimed movies as well as appearing on the West End and Broadway. He died in a hospice in Monmouth this morning after battling with pancreatic cancer, reports BBC. Once described by Paul McCartney as "the man who makes clouds disappear", Spinetti was the only non-Beatle to appear in the films A Hard Day's Night, Help! and Magical Mystery Tour.

Rare Beatles poster from the Cavern Club fetches £27,500 at auction

A rare poster of The Beatles, which was used to promote a show at Liverpool’s Cavern Club has fetched £27,500 at auction. London auction house Christies said that it was the earliest Beatles poster they had ever been offered, reports whatsellsbest.com. According to the listing, the poster had been hand-painted specifically for the lunchtime concert, which took place on November 30, 1962.

Beatles museum in Hamburg closing due to ‘lack of interest’

The Beatles museum in Hamburg, Germany will close down at the end of this month, according to reports. The five-storey 'Beatlemania' museum was opened in May 2009 but will apparently be shut at the end of June due to a lack of interest from Fab Four fanatics.

Country music legend Willie Nelson has posted the video for his cover version of Pearl Jam's "Just Breathe" online. Scroll down to watch the video, which sees Nelson singing and playing guitar alongside his son Lukas while the pair go on a road trip together. The song is taken from Nelson's latest album, Heroes, which also sees him covering tracks by Coldplay and Tom Waits, as well as collaborating with rapper Snoop Dogg on the pro-cannabis track, "Roll Me Up".
