It seems that singer/songwriter and Uncut’s man of 2006 has bought himself a luxury Edwardian mansion in the Scottish Highlands.

Reported yesterday in Scots regional newspaper, Press And Journal, the 65-year old troubadour has bought Aultmore House, in the village of Nethyridge, near the Cairngorm mountains in Inverness, for a cool £2.3 million ($4.3).

Reports also say that Dylan, under ‘guise’ of his family name Zimmerman, spent a week at the property with his brother last year, but has not been back to the 10-bedroomed house set in 10 Hectares of land since.

Knight Frank, the estate agents who arranged the sale, would say only that Aultmore House’s new owner was a “very private person”.

Bob Dylan was made an honorary doctor of music at prestigious Scottish University, St Andrews in 2004.

Dylan is soon to begin a tour of Europe this year, including a show at Glasgow SECC in April.

Maybe he’ll pop home for a swift cuppa and a round of golf?
