Pink Floyd’s The Endless River is fastest selling vinyl album of the century

Pink Floyd's The Endless River, sold 6,000 copies in its first week of sales, the highest first-week sales of any vinyl LP released since 1997, and therefore the fastest-selling vinyl album this century. Pink Floyd's success comes with the news that annual sales of vinyl albums have surpassed a million for the first time since the 1990s. An upturn in sales for the physical format, beloved of collectors but once considered obsolete, has matched a peak last seen in 1996, when sales of Britpop LPs were a driving force behind 1,083,206 sales.
