Damon Albarn, Elbow and Kraftwerk are all set to contribute to this year’s Manchester International Festival which takes place from July 2 to 19.

Albarn, who is not performing, as he’ll be playing live shows with the reunited Blur, has contributed music to a new play ‘It Felt Like A Kiss’ by Adam Curtis and Punchdrunk.

The MIF is where the premiere staging of Albarn’s opera ‘Monkey: A Journey To The West’ took place two years ago.

Artsists who are due to play this year’s festival include Kraftwerk, Elbow, Lou Reed with Laurie Anderson, De La Soul and Amadou & Mariam.
