Jack White tonight (August 23) marked his fourth appearance at the Reading Festival in ten years, this time playing on the Main stage with his โ€˜side projectโ€™ The Raconteurs.

The band, a collaboration with singer songwriter Brendan Benson made their main stage debut at the festival with a set that showcased both his and Whiteโ€™s two albums; โ€˜Broken Boy Soldiersโ€™ and this yearโ€™s release โ€˜Consolers of The Lonely.โ€™

Highlight of The Raconteursโ€™ set was the the mass crowd singalong to their hit โ€œSteady As She Goesโ€, the whole audience joining White with singing the refrain โ€œAre you steady now?โ€

Previously White played has played the Bank Holiday weekend festival with Meg White as The White Stripes in 2002, headlining in 2004, and also with The Raconteurs headlining the NME Stage two years ago in 2006.
