While Razorlight headline the main stage, we caught up with some of the brighest talents this festival has to offer – Patrick Wolf and Albert Hammond, Jr.

There are bigger acts performing on other stages tonight, but both Patrick and Albert draw massive crowds.

Patrick Wolf is really developing into a showman of the most extroverted order, stripping off his sparkly green shirt and cavorting around the stage as his band weave their half glitch techno, half gypsy folk magic. ‘The Magic Position’ is a set highlight, but it’s ‘Accident & Emergency’ that gets everyone dancing. We even stand next to some people who refuse a free drink in case it hinders their shimmying to Wolf‘s Dexys-esque pop.

Albert Hammond, Jr. follows, and again the tent is packed – we barely get inside. Hammond performs nearly all of his solo album ‘Yours To Keep’, while also including a customary outing for new song ‘In My Room’. Hammond is reportedly recording a new album this year and ‘In My Room’ certainly bodes well for the results. We might have seen him on on a smaller stage tonight, but the crowd were no less feverish than the lucky ones at The Strokes‘ 2002 headline slot.
