Tom Jones has said that he โ€œwould loveโ€ to do a full album with Jack White.

The Welsh crooner collaborated with White for a one-off release on his Third Man Records label earlier this year, recording a version of Frankie Laneโ€™s track โ€˜Jezebelโ€™ and a cover of Howlinโ€™ Wolfโ€™s โ€˜Evilโ€™ for the release.

Speaking to NME backstage at V Festival in a video which you can see at the bottom of the page, Jones said that heโ€™d enjoyed the collaboration immensely and would love to turn it into a full album.

Asked about working with White, the singer said: โ€œJack White had an idea for two songs โ€˜Evilโ€™ and โ€˜Jezabelโ€™, which is an old Frankie Lane song and he had a new arrangement for it. So he said to me โ€˜Do you know these songs?โ€™ and I said โ€˜Yes, I know both of themโ€™.โ€

He continued: โ€œI was in Nashville at the time so we got together and we did the two songs. Iโ€™d love to do an album with Jack White in the future.โ€

Jones also spoke about his role as a judge on BBC1 reality series The Voice and said that though he hoped to return for a second series, nothing was confirmed yet.

Asked whether he would return, he replied: โ€œWeโ€™re talking about it now. The BBC would like me to do another one and I did have a lot of fun doing the first one. There are things that we need to change, things we know we can make better, but it looks like Iโ€™m going to do it. We havenโ€™t rubber stamped it yet.โ€

He continued: โ€œJessie J wants to knows if Iโ€™m going to do it, I want to know if sheโ€™s going to do it. I think will.i.am wants to do it and I think Danny Oโ€™Donoghue wants to do it. Hopefully the four of us will be the same, thatโ€™s the key I think. We worked so well together, if you take one out, itโ€™s going to be like the missing piece of the puzzle.โ€

Tom Jones released his 40th studio album โ€˜Spirit In The Roomโ€™ earlier this year.
