The Best Of Barbra Brockhaus is a stream-of-consciousness confessional detailing a bored secretary’s finger-sucking sexual fantasies set to a mixture of lo-fi electronica and garage rock. On the less offensive end of the electro-sleaze spectrum, the album succeeds by dint of Reed’s witty lyrics and faux naif delivery. Two video clips are included on the disc.
